The newly upgraded website of Tax Appeal Tribunal has made provision for new features, including electronic filing, judgment portal, and others.

This according to the Coordinating Secretary of the court, Hajiya Bolanle Oniyangi Esq is to create room for easy navigation for users as well as giving the website a professional outlook with up-to-date innovative touches.

In a chat with newsmen on Monday, Bolanle Oniyangi said this is part of the agency's resolve to create a workable and enabling environment for quick resolution of tax disputes in the country.

The upgrade she said also seeks to achieve the vision of the refocused leadership of the tribunal in providing multiple windows for Nigerians and foreigners doing business in the country to ventilate their grievances as it relates to tax matters.

"Our resolve is to ensure that parties will not be limited by distance from filing their cases. With the incorporation of electronic filing in our upgraded website, that dream has been achieved.

“Our people irrespective of distance can easily file their cases with the innovations contained in our website. One distinctive thing about this website is that it is easy to use and provides necessary tools that can help users search for information of interest.

"Apart from that, the judgment portal, which warehouses all the judgments delivered by the tribunal nationwide will be available for public use.

"It provides research value for academic institutions, students, lawyers, judges, litigants, and everyone.

"We want to operate in line with global standards especially with the adoption of information and communication technology to ensure effective service delivery. This is what the visionary leadership of the court is out to achieve" she said.

Designed by 4tunetechnologies Limited, the user-friendly upgraded website provides plug-ins that easily allow easy navigation.

In his comment, the Executive Director, 4tunetechnologies Limited, Mr. Fatai Abiodun said expressed his gratitude to the Tax Tribunal for allowing the firm to be part of the giant stride.

He said “With the digitalization and automation of the electronic filing application process, applicants will have access to the portal any time of the day throughout the application window – whether during the day or at night.

"The automation of the process will ensure that the filing of applications is seamless, faster – as it requires lesser paperwork, and will be easier for the Tribunal to manage all the cases in their docket from any point.
