Premise on the above, the Tax Appeal Tribunal will be hosting a 2-day annual retreat for the Hon. Commissioners and top staff to align the tribunal with the best global practices and to yield better organizational efficiency for the progress of the administration of justice.

The scheduled annual retreat will hold from the 19th January to 20th January 2022 at Transcorp Hilton Abuja.

Speaking to newsmen, the tribunal coordinating secretary, Bolanle Hajara Oniyangi Esq stressed that towards building a dynamic Tax Dispute Administration Centre, worthy of public trust and confidence; training and re-training of commissioners and stakeholders will yield a better result on the administration of justice.

She further explained that the creation of the tribunal is to settle issues arising from Tax Disputes in order to promote ease of doing business amongst others.

“Taxation is the central part of modern public finance. The importance of taxation arises from the fact that it is by far the most significant source of government revenue and is, therefore, the primary means of financing government expenditures.”
