Tax Appeal Tribunal Coordinating Secretary, Bolanle Oniyangi speaks at 2022 IBA Conference Miami

The Coordinating Secretary of the Tax Appeal Tribunal, Bolanle Oniyangi, FICMC on Wednesday 2nd November 2022 addressed the world’s largest gathering of legal practitioners on “Global Tax Trends - Nigeria’s Perspective” at this year's International Bar Association (IBA) conference, Miami, Florida, United State of America.


Oniyangi expressed that the role of Tax cannot be underestimated in the development of the critical sector of the economy. She said Taxation in the Nigerian economy like other nations is a significant system that helps in the generation and redistribution of revenue to provide public services and improve the economy.


The International Bar Association (IBA) Annual Conference is the leading conference for legal professionals worldwide to meet, share knowledge, build contacts and develop business.


It also serves to advance the development of international law and its role in business and society to provide members with world-class professional development opportunities to enable them to deliver outstanding legal services.

 


The IBA Annual Conference is open to both members and non-members of the IBA, with lawyers from over 130 jurisdictions and all parts of the legal profession attending, including lawyers in private practice, in-house counsel, human rights advocates, judges, bar leaders, regulators, and government representatives.
